About the role
- Execute and develop category strategies for MRO categories ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder priorities.
- Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including RFPs, supplier negotiations, contracting, and implementation.
- Manage testing requirements and implementation steps of complex projects
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across our plants and operations leadership to align sourcing solutions with business needs.
- Identify cost savings, trade working capital improvements and value creation opportunities through supplier consolidation, demand management, and contract renegotiations.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, including SLAs, KPIs, and regular business reviews: Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and performance management. Develop and monitor KPIs such as OTIF, quality performance, lead-time adherence, and cost savings. Manage supplier business reviews and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and relevant legal, ethical, and risk requirements.
- Track and report on savings initiatives, contract coverage, and sourcing pipeline activity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experiences in lieu of the degree
- 4+ years of work experience in procurement.
- Ability to work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as external vendors to effectively manage scope of work and ensure alignment with business needs
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, assess risk, and drive forward progress in a structured manner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional presentation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team
- Ability to travel domestically (5-10%)
