About the role
- Promote product activation: You drive the activation and introduction of myopia treatment products with target customers to achieve our sales targets and planned sales conversations.
- Build partnerships: You establish and maintain strong partnerships with the business teams of our CV (CooperVision) customers to implement joint business plans for growth in the myopia category. You work closely with regional account managers to ensure MiSight activation.
- Optimize the customer experience: You collaborate closely with BDMs at target customers to deliver a seamless and connected customer experience that is best-in-class.
- Relationship management: You build strong relationships with colleagues, members of the sales team, sales leadership, the strategic accounts team, sales support and commercial management teams; you nurture and lead these relationships to secure their support in achieving customer objectives.
- Clinical knowledge: You develop comprehensive clinical knowledge of myopia management, including MiSight 1-day contact lenses and other CV myopia-management products as well as competitor products. You demonstrate expert-level ability to position our products against competitors and expand the myopia category.
- Customer support: You act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers at all levels when they implement myopia management in their practice to achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs.
- Data interpretation: You interpret clinical studies and market data to enhance our credibility, address objections, and influence the sales process persuasively.
- Share best practices: You identify and share best practices, opportunities and challenges with colleagues and the myopia-management leadership team.
- Sales skills: You demonstrate exceptional sales capabilities, commercial acumen, and presentation and communication skills to optimize the customer process and journey.
Requirements
- Completed training as an optician or equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience in the optical industry; knowledge of myopia management is desirable
- At least three years of experience in customer-facing sales roles. Knowledge of the retail landscape and retail experience is an advantage
- Experience and proven ability in developing and implementing customer business plans
- Strong interpersonal skills, skilled at building relationships, and excellent people skills to influence effectively
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and to organize and plan effectively. You work well under time pressure
- Ability to identify, evaluate and process information effectively to make informed decisions
- Ability to grasp complex clinical concepts and data and to deliver training and presentations to groups of varying sizes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and good command of English
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Willingness to travel extensively and a valid driving license
