About the role

  • Lead Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, Off-Page SEO, and Content SEO: Develop and execute strategies for each aspect of SEO to maximize organic traffic and search visibility.
  • Lead Content Marketing Strategy: Drive the content strategy for our blog and website, including the creation of content calendars, ideation, content development, and publishing.
  • Content Management: Lead and mentor content writers, both in-house and freelancers, to produce high-quality, search-optimized content that aligns with our brand voice and drives user engagement.
  • SEO Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Use analytics tools to monitor performance, identify issues, and make data-driven decisions to optimize SEO strategies.
  • App Store Optimization (ASO): Develop and implement ASO strategies to maximize the visibility and downloads of our mobile app, including optimizing app titles, descriptions, keywords, and visual assets.
  • Manage SEO Agency: Oversee the day-to-day activities and performance of the external SEO agency, ensuring deliverables and results align with the company’s goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Brand Marketing team to optimize organic social media and YouTube content to support SEO efforts and maximize visibility.
  • Partner with the Engineering team and the SEO agency to ensure technical SEO projects, such as site audits, page speed optimization, and schema markup implementation, are executed effectively.
  • Manage cross-functional collaborations with the Product team to design and develop SEO-focused landing pages and improve website architecture.
  • Competitor Analysis: Regularly analyze competitor websites and strategies to identify gaps and opportunities to improve our SEO positioning.
  • SEO & ASO Best Practices and Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO and ASO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices, and implement changes to ensure the company remains competitive.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Management: At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role, leading SEO strategies and managing SEO teams or agencies.
  • Technical Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with technical SEO, including crawlability, indexability, site architecture, page speed and performance, mobile-friendliness, schema markups, XML sitemaps, and more.
  • Content Management: At least 2 years of experience managing content writers and leading content strategy and development.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Cross-Functional Experience: Proven ability to work collaboratively with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to drive successful SEO initiatives.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate SEO strategies and results to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO certifications) is a plus.
