About the role Provide project support within Substation Protection and Controls Engineering team at ControlPoint Technologies Substation electrical engineering: one-line, AC and DC elementary diagrams, wiring and interconnection, cable schedules, material lists Configure SCADA and RTU, develop relay protection settings and relay control settings, and relay wiring Substation physical design: general arrangement, control house layout, panel design, plans and sections, grounding, lightning protection, conduit layout, material lists, construction specifications Prepare calculations (grounding, lightning protection, AC/DC load studies) Support civil/structural engineering: structural and foundation drawings, foundation and steel calculations Project engineering: planning, organization, estimating, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring work activities Client focus and customer service; support project scope development and estimates Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) preferred; will accept candidates with Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) on path to PE Minimum of five (5) years’ experience electric utility industry Direct experience with Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Substation Projects Experience in utility substation engineering with focus on electrical protection and/or physical aspects of design Ability to work within engineering design standards and quality programs specific to client needs and requirements Project Management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills Travel up to 10% may be required Competitive salary Medical and Dental Insurance 401(k) and Roth 401(k) Retirement Plans with Company Match Company paid short-term and long-term disability insurance Company paid life insurance policy Company paid training, seminars, and events Tuition reimbursement Professional Licensure reimbursement Paid time off for holidays, vacation, and sick Family medical leave Company events and outings Copy ATS Keywords Tip: use these terms in your resume and cover letter to boost ATS matches.
