About the role Provide project support within the Substation Engineering team for Transmission and Distribution (T&D) substation projects Perform Substation Electrical Engineering tasks: one-line, AC and DC elementary, wiring and interconnection, cable schedules, material lists, SCADA/RTU, relay protection and control settings, relay wiring Perform Substation Engineering tasks: general arrangement, control house layout, panel design, plans and sections, grounding, lightning protection, conduit layout, material lists, and construction specifications Prepare engineering calculations (grounding, lightning protection, AC/DC load studies, etc.) Support civil/structural engineering and design: structural drawings, foundation drawings, foundation and steel calculations Project engineering responsibilities: planning, organization, estimating, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring work activities Plan engineering project deliverables with stakeholders and maintain client confidence Provide strong client focus, customer service, and communication throughout project lifecycle Requirements Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) preferred; will accept Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) on path to PE Minimum of five (5) years\' experience in the electric utility industry Experience in utility substation engineering with focus on electrical or physical aspects of design Ability to work within engineering design standards and quality programs specific to client needs and requirements Project Management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines Strong client focus and customer service Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills Travel up to 10% may be required Experience with Substation electrical one-line, AC and DC elementary diagrams, wiring and interconnection Experience preparing cable schedules, material lists, and construction specifications Knowledge of SCADA and RTU systems, relay protection settings, relay control settings, and relay wiring Experience with grounding and lightning protection calculations and AC/DC load studies Ability to support civil/structural engineering including foundation and steel calculations Competitive salary Medical and Dental Insurance 401(k) and Roth 401(k) Retirement Plans with Company Match Company paid short-term and long-term disability insurance Company paid life insurance policy Company paid training, seminars, and events Tuition reimbursement Professional Licensure reimbursement Paid time off for holidays, vacation, and sick Family medical leave Company events and outings Copy ATS Keywords Tip: use these terms in your resume and cover letter to boost ATS matches.
