Provide project support within the Substation Engineering team for T&D substation projects
Perform Substation Electrical Engineering: one-line diagrams, AC and DC elementary, wiring and interconnection, cable schedules, material lists, SCADA and RTU, relay protection and control settings, relay wiring
Perform Substation Engineering: general arrangement, control house layout, panel design, plans and sections, grounding, lightning protection, conduit layout, material lists, construction specifications
Support Civil/Structural engineering and design including structural drawings, foundation drawings, foundation and steel calculations
Lead project engineering tasks: develop scope of work and conceptual designs, project planning, organization, estimating, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring work activities
Provide guidance and mentorship within engineering and design team and perform quality assurance reviews
Strong client focus and customer service; plan engineering project deliverables with stakeholders
Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to meet critical deadlines
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) is required; will accept Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) on path to PE
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the electric utility industry
Direct experience with Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Substation Projects
Experience in utility substation engineering with focus on electrical or physical aspects of design
Project Management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Knowledge of SCADA and RTU, Relay Protection Settings, Relay Control Settings, Relay Wiring
Ability to work within engineering design standards and quality programs specific to client needs
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Outgoing team player with ability to provide client confidence
