About the role
- Assist with the administration and implementation of HR-related programs, policies, and practices of the company.
- Administer programs and processes such as the employment process, new hire benefit elections and education, compliance programs, and training.
- Develop and propose improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of HR services and create a high level of customer service.
- Support company efforts to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and other applicable requirements to include ERISA, HIPAA, OFCCP, EEO, COBRA, FMLA, and FLSA.
- Partner with assigned business units to manage annual human resource processes and bring value to the business.
- Counsel employees on career path and development opportunities, establish policies/procedures, and other HR related matters.
- Help facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes.
Requirements
- 4 years of experience in an HR role focused on employee relations, bolstering employee experience, and employment laws/regulation adherence and application
- Degree in HR, business management, or related field is strongly preferred
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
- Construction or manufacturing experience is a plus
- Ability to build positive relationships and connect with others
- High attention to detail
- High level of initiative, drive, and professionalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong judgement and conflict resolution skills
- Desire to work in a collaborative, supportive, team environment
- Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with HRIS/ATS
- Ability to learn specific job-related software upon hire
