About the role

  • The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is an integral member of the Talent Management Team whose mission is to support operational goals by anticipating the needs of the organization, through intentional partnership.
  • We achieve our goals by putting people first; and leading with curiosity, vulnerability, and integrity.
  • The HRBP is obsessed with building strong partnerships with operational leaders and other strategic partners within their territory.
  • Through partnership with the broader HR team, the HRBP has developed tools, training, and resources to empower managers and leaders throughout the organization to create a work environment that facilitates open, honest communication, fosters team member development, and empowers our team members to delight our guests.
  • Counsels People Leaders on how to most effectively lead their locations, increase team member engagement.
  • Advises People Leaders on performance management and terminations.
  • Responds to Team Member inquiries. Owns maintenance and execution of the company’s LMS Platform via Paycom. Responsible for setting up trainings, reporting on training completion, and responding to training needs as needed.
  • Conducts Talent Reviews with People Leaders to assess team talent and assists in creating action plans to improve team function.
  • Hosts quarterly roundtables with team members to identify areas of strength, and areas for needed improvement. Develops action plans for improvement in partnership with Operational Leadership.
  • Leverages the Culture Scorecard to share trends with Operational Leadership and address areas of opportunity as needed.
  • Responds to unemployment claims as needed.
  • Collaborates with the Total Rewards team for benefits and payroll questions concerning the team members in the HRBP’s area of responsibilities.
  • Collaborates with Recruitment to proactively identify key indicators of retention and engagement concerns for their group.
  • Leads training and onboarding presentations for new team members and People Leaders as needed.
  • Supports the Annual Performance Review process by coaching and guiding managers on the quality of review feedback and ensuring completion of the process for their group.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5 years progressive HR experience required.
  • Current human resources certification preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory on a weekly basis.
  • LMS experience required. Paycom experience preferred.
