About the role
- Drive development and success of Mission Operations Systems (MOS) software tools to optimise satellite operations.
- Own requirement management: collect business requirements from interfacing cross-functional teams and incorporate into the backlog.
- Ideation & feature development: convert requirements into feature ideas and document demand and effort.
- Backlog management: maintain backlog, prioritise items in line with business requirements, and keep close exchange with the team.
- Drive coherent product roadmaps for all MOS tools, align team on milestones, and ensure feature scoping to meet business milestones.
- Cross-functional collaboration and interface management: act as go-to contact for other teams and ensure alignment on roadmap and milestones.
- Manage external supplier interfaces: communicate requirements and manage delivery of externally built features in line with roadmap.
- Shape long-term product strategy for MOS tools, including make-or-buy decisions.
- Consolidate user feedback from satellite operators and delivery teams; drive validations and testing of improvements with stakeholders.
- Embedded in MOS team and report directly to the VP of Product.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of product management experience, ideally in aerospace, satellite systems, or mission-critical software products.
- Strong systems thinking with ability to manage complex interfaces and technical detail.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with engineers, users, and external vendors.
- Skilled in backlog management, agile methodologies, and roadmap development.
- Collaborative communicator with a strategic mindset and drive for measurable impact.
- Willingness to work remotely or hybrid within Germany and travel for team meetings and collaboration.
