About the role
- Lead the implementation of the Corporate Environmental Management System
- Partner with facility teams to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and Conagra procedures
- Identify environmental risks and support development of action plans
- Assist with environmental assessments, internal reviews, and follow-up activities
- Provide operational support and troubleshooting for environmental control systems
- Support capital planning by identifying environmental needs
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, energy and water conservation, and greenhouse gas reduction efforts
- Develop and deliver EMS and compliance-related training to site teams
- Communicate program updates, risks, and performance metrics to plant leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry
- 7+ years of experience in safety, health, environment, or engineering, including 3+ years of multi-site responsibility
- Experience engaging employees to implement environmental strategies across platforms
- Experience leading projects and presenting to all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and their impact on the food industry
- Willingness to travel 50%–60%
