About the role

  • Administer bank account structures including cash pooling, in-house bank, and sweeps between banks
  • Implement global bank account management processes: management of bank mandates, Know Your Customer activities, opening and closing of accounts, bank fee analysis, and administration of banking portals
  • Execute regional liquidity management processes: short term cash flow forecasting, determining liquidity needs, and interest collection management
  • Execute on surplus and deficit in cash positions to determine cash movements, investments and borrowings
  • Monitor daily cash positions and forecasts to ensure sufficient liquidity
  • Support routine trade/transaction instructions and valuation of financial products, including confirmations
  • Monitor bank fees, engage with banks on day-to-day elements and support strategic banking relationship activities
  • Execute payment processes: transaction preparation, initiation, payment queries, approvals, settlements, reconciliations, stop cheques, and calculation/payment of client interest
  • Process regional periodic reporting of risk, cash balance, cash flow, client balance and margin income and analyse trends
  • Execute Treasury accounting processes for month-end and year-end
  • Implement regional compliance processes with regulators and treasury policy, perform due diligence on bank counterparties and compliance checks prior to payment release
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and contribute to ad hoc projects
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and follow CPU playbooks and mandatory regulatory training

Requirements

  • Ideally educated to degree level in Finance or Accounting
  • Certified Treasury Professional or Chartered Financial Analyst (preferred)
  • Previous experience of working in a Treasury environment and the associated regulatory landscape
  • Previously operated in analytical roles
  • Knowledge of Treasury systems and processes including automation
  • Understanding of the financial services industry
