About the role
- Administrate all human resource functions including staff recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, and terminations
- Manage annual performance evaluations
- Keep CVP management informed of all relevant issues regarding staff, client issues, premises or equipment needs
- Respond to client concerns in a timely and appropriate manner
- Implement marketing activities in partnership with CVP and the Lead Veterinarian
- Assure compliance with all regulatory issues including radiation monitoring, business permits and licenses, and animal control ordinances
- Maintain, and when necessary, amend client education handouts
- Oversee inventory purchasing and management within budget guidelines
- Participate in the yearly budgeting process, monthly P&L reviews and discuss weekly financial reports with the lead doctor
- Responsible for managing the bi-weekly payroll process
Requirements
- 4+ years Hospital management experience
- College preferred
- Equine Practice Manager experience is strongly preferred
- Certification in Veterinary Practice Management preferred
