About the role

  • Administrate all human resource functions including staff recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, and terminations
  • Manage annual performance evaluations
  • Keep CVP management informed of all relevant issues regarding staff, client issues, premises or equipment needs
  • Respond to client concerns in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Implement marketing activities in partnership with CVP and the Lead Veterinarian
  • Assure compliance with all regulatory issues including radiation monitoring, business permits and licenses, and animal control ordinances
  • Maintain, and when necessary, amend client education handouts
  • Oversee inventory purchasing and management within budget guidelines
  • Participate in the yearly budgeting process, monthly P&L reviews and discuss weekly financial reports with the lead doctor
  • Responsible for managing the bi-weekly payroll process

Requirements

  • 4+ years Hospital management experience
  • College preferred
  • Equine Practice Manager experience is strongly preferred
  • Certification in Veterinary Practice Management preferred
