Salary
💰 $70,000 - $120,000 per year
About the role
- Provide daily on-site management of the CRYD mechanical install contractor, review and generate complex install operation plans and procedures, oversee physical install work, troubleshoot issues, and ensure correctness of work.
- Plan and execute CRYD mechanical install work (e.g. flange assemblies, tubing, insulation) to reduce schedule risk and contractor cost.
- Manage CRYD I&C install (e.g. control cabinets, instrumentation panels/flanges, probe assemblies and wire harnesses) through daily oversight and resolution of issues.
- Plan and execute on-site functional testing (e.g. solenoid valve assembly tests).
- Manage last CRYD procurements (e.g. LHe offload cart, CRYD warm low pressure skid), troubleshoot issues, visit suppliers, and witness supplier test plans.
- Plan and execute CRYD pre-commissioning tasks (e.g. I&C loop checks; cycling valves; verify pressure and temperature transducers; test relief valves).
- Plan and execute CRYD commissioning tasks (e.g. leak checks at MAWP; demonstrate flow, pressure, temperature controls; PLC command/control; helium pump-and-purge; LN2 shield flow testing).
- Plan and execute CRYP–CRYD commissioning tasks (e.g. demonstrate CRYD performance supporting SPARC operating modes; measure and manage helium leakage; measure CRYD heat loads and hydraulic performance).
- Identify, communicate, and manage key CRYD System risks; develop derisking strategies; document decisions and learnings.
- Maintain versatility and broad understanding of the CRYO and CRYD programs; support other CRYO priorities as necessary.
- Comply with CFS design control processes, document design developments, arrange checks and reviews, and submit design files into M-Files.
