Partner with Product Management when defining a product or feature’s development lifecycle
You will help identify problems or areas of opportunity in the product for our customers
Research how competitors do (or don’t) approach these problems
Explore solutions, review with leadership, refine, ship, and support
Partner with Engineering and be directly responsible for the product UI and experience
If you see something worthy of a change in the product, take action and propose a solution
Help make our customers fall (even more) in love with Common Room as they use it every day
Be comprehensive in your craft — explore a range of solutions, show flows and interactions in detail, consider the corner cases, and aim for precision in your work
Own an entire area of the product, yet jump into other parts at a moment’s notice
Lead by example, bias toward action, and don’t strive for perfection
Be self-sufficient yet willing to ask for help early and often
Contribute to the Common Room design system to ensure quality, consistency, scalability, and self-service as we move quickly to build out experiences
Be agile and flexible as requirements inevitably change, leveraging the knowns and embracing the unknowns
Know when to invent and when to re-use existing patterns and components

Familiarity with B2B SaaS is preferred, though for outstanding candidates this is not a strict requirement

Passionate about how design and design thinking can help with how someone understands a problem and executes on solutions when creating a product from zero to one
Able to keep your eye on the prize with the big picture but can also get into the details of how a product should work with an eye for frictionless user experiences and clear customer value
Able to break down complex problems into simple solutions and execute on them quickly
Proactively move initiatives forward and consistently lead design on products from start-to-finish with limited direction
Scrappy and practical with a balanced approach to speed and quality, though can be inventive when the status quo simply isn’t going to work
