About the role
- Serve as the primary strategic contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of existing OEM clients
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities
- Lead the full sales cycle from initial opportunity through RFQ analysis, proposal development, negotiation of contracts and pricing, and successful closure
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch, delivery, and ongoing support of projects
- Maintain and prepare regular sales forecasts and activity reports for management
- Monitor industry trends and market conditions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or marketing, or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years of account management or inside sales experience, preferably in plastics
- Creative problem-solving
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Self-starter with initiative
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Strong familiarity with account management, RFQ process, and financial impact assessment
- Proven track record of winning new business and nurturing relationships
- High proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
