About the role

  • The Sales Account Executive for Medius at Columbus will be responsible for growing our purchase-to-pay (P2P) market by managing all phases of the sales cycle. This role focuses on generating opportunities with both existing customers and new prospects, with primary emphasis on Medius (purchase-to-pay). The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who thrives in dynamic conditions and builds strong, productive relationships with diverse customers and partners. Manage full sales cycles from lead generation to closing. Lead introductory meetings with potential customers, effectively positioning the value of Columbus. Work proactively and independently, including cold calling when appropriate and following up on marketing-generated and network leads. Develop and execute strategic account and opportunity plans. Qualify opportunities to ensure effective use of Columbus and partner resources. Collaborate with Columbus consulting resources throughout the sales process, demonstrating leadership and coordination. Partner with Marketing and Business Development to design lead generation campaigns and target specific verticals. Work closely with Sales Managers and Consultants to create account strategies that expand customer relationships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience selling technology business applications or complex solutions Prior experience with purchase-to-pay software and processes, preferably in a sales role Will also consider candidates with solution-sales account management experience outside of P2P software Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience) Strong ability to manage complex discussions, problem-solve effectively, and apply pricing tactics and strategies Experience working with third-party vendors and managing contract negotiations Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience drafting contracts and Statements of Work Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and collaborate effectively with a team
