About the role
- Responsible for all IT related Networks and IT Systems on board, including Internet Platforms, Server, V-Sat, Hardware and supporting installations
- Administration of the entire IT–Infrastructure such as Mail server, Active Directory, Proxy-Server, File- und Print server
- Provide technical support to other departments
- User-management for Systems and Applications
- Manage Multimedia Systems (Video on Demand, IP-TV, Screen Management)
- Manage Access Portal Internet for Passenger and Crew
- Oversee Ships communication (SatComm - TV / Daten / Internet)
- Maintain Telephone System and Network Support
- Manage Back-Up System
Requirements
- Professional qualification in the field of IT
- 5 years of work experience
- Experience on board cruise ships would be a plus
- Excellent knowledge of German language (compulsory)
- Fluent business English
- Good time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Willingness to provide service
- Communicative with a safe appearance
- Ability to communicate in German and English to understand and interpret written procedures and give/receive instructions
