About the role

  • Creating Clear, Accurate Documentation: Develops and leads the creation of complex technical documentation, including advanced user guides, product overviews, API references, and release notes. Sets documentation standards and ensures content not only meets style guidelines but also aligns with business objectives and product strategy. Anticipates documentation needs proactively during the product lifecycle.
  • Maintaining Quality and Consistency: Drives content quality across the organization by establishing best practices, performing in-depth reviews, and ensuring documentation supports usability, accessibility, and regulatory compliance (if applicable). Champions consistency in voice, tone, and structure across multiple teams and products.
  • Mentoring and Collaboration: Acts as a thought leader and mentor within the documentation team—guiding junior and mid-level writers through complex projects. Provides strategic peer reviews, elevates writing quality, and fosters strong cross-functional partnerships with product, UX, engineering, and support teams. Influences product design and development by advocating for user documentation needs.
  • User-Centric Feedback Integration: Leads efforts to systematically gather, analyze, and act on customer and field feedback. Partners with UX research and customer success to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities to improve documentation. Uses data and insights to shape documentation strategy, ensuring measurable improvements in user experience and product adoption.
  • Project Management: Takes ownership of complex documentation initiatives that span multiple product areas or releases. Develops and manages project plans, establishes priorities, and aligns deliverables with organizational milestones. Proactively manages shifting priorities, risks, and dependencies, while ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes.
