Counselor

• Serve as HEOP Counselor providing personalized and group advising to assigned caseload, focusing on academic, personal, crisis, and financial advising
• Create and maintain detailed and accurate student records
• Support student adjustment to college life, develop skills for academic and personal success, and implement early intervention strategies for academic difficulties
• Assist in planning and executing the HEOP Summer Program (4–5 weeks) and be available June–August for preparation/implementation
• Participate in weekly staff meetings, one-on-one sessions with the Director for Federal and State Programs, and professional development activities
• Represent HEOP at campus-wide events, serve on University committees, and advise/mentor the HEOP Student Board
• Collaborate with faculty and campus support services, monitor student progress, and maintain regular communication with students, faculty, tutors, and support staff
• Guide students through financial aid processes in coordination with campus offices and connect students with campus resources (mental health services, tutoring, career development)
• Design and facilitate workshops on academic, social, career, financial, and cultural topics; lead initiatives that promote academic achievement
• Contribute to program assessment, fulfill state reporting requirements, and perform additional duties as assigned
• Work standard hours 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday–Friday with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends

HEOP Counselor

• Contribute to the University’s mission by recruiting and supporting students for the Accelerated Nursing Program and the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Program.
• Serve as the primary admission contact for prospective students interested in the Accelerated Nursing Program and the MS in Physician Assistant Program.
• Plan and conduct outreach and recruitment activities, including virtual and in-person information sessions, college fairs, and community events.
• Partner with education service providers to share key updates on academic calendars, admissions policies, and clearance requirements.
• Provide individualized counseling to applicants on program requirements, application procedures, and financial aid opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Financial Aid Office to monitor clearance status for admitted and deposited students.
• Work closely with academic departments and campus partners to ensure prospective students receive accurate program information, with attention to compliance and readiness standards.
• Review applications and support the evaluation and selection process in collaboration with faculty and admission committees.
• Maintain accurate applicant records and communication logs within the CRM system.
• Contribute to marketing initiatives by providing content for promotional materials and digital campaigns targeting healthcare students.
• Assist with planning and execution of onboarding and orientation activities for newly admitted students.

Admission Counselor

Director

• Lead and manage the recruitment and enrollment of undergraduate students and select specialty and graduate programs; oversee a dedicated undergraduate admissions team and report to the Senior Director for Admission and the Vice President of Strategic Enrollment and Retention.
• Hire, train, supervise, mentor, and support the professional development of the undergraduate admissions team; foster a collaborative, mission-aligned, goal-oriented team culture; provide regular performance feedback and conduct annual evaluations.
• Design and implement an annual comprehensive undergraduate recruitment strategy aligned with institutional goals; analyze enrollment trends and market data to inform territory management, outreach, and yield strategies; collaborate with marketing and communications and present an annual after-action report.
• Oversee daily operations of the Office of Undergraduate Admission including communication plans, application and data review, processing, audit and quality control, coordination of logistics and supplies; develop and maintain training manuals for Banner procedures, Slate, and Admission SOPs; serve as the Slate captain and maintain data integrity using Slate analytics.
• Work closely with vendor partners; represent the college at internal and external events including high school visits, college fairs, and community programs; collaborate with faculty, staff, athletics, alumni, and current students to enhance the prospective student experience; uphold and promote the college’s Catholic identity and liberal arts mission.
• Other duties as assigned including management of one or two recruitment territories or programs.
