About the role
- Build engaging, dynamic, and intuitive interfaces for real-time price analysis, order execution, and trading data visualization
- Build and scale core systems that power crypto trading at Coinbase across Simple Trade, Advanced Trade, Derivatives, and DEX
- Work in tight collaboration with engineers, product, and design to articulate a best-in-class product experience
- Translate ideas into tangible, high-value trading features customers love
- Tackle engineering challenges at the intersection of crypto, trading infrastructure, and consumer product
- In-person participation required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites (attendance expected and supported)
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in developing web and/or mobile apps and shipping user-facing features with React, JavaScript, and Typescript
- Developed and shipped user-facing features using component-based UI frameworks
- Familiar with product and design lifecycles, and collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers
- Write high-quality, well-tested, extensible code
- Up-to-date with latest industry standards and best practices in frontend architecture
- Proactive, growth-mindset, and empower and cultivate teammates
- (Nice to have) Experience launching new products from 0 to 1 at scale
- (Nice to have) Experience on active trading systems or other high-availability financial systems
- (Nice to have) Actively trade crypto or other financial instruments
- (Nice to have) 1+ year developing production-grade React Native mobile apps
- (Nice to have) Experience with GraphQL and/or Relay
- (Nice to have) Track record optimizing application performance and reducing latency
- (Nice to have) Crypto-forward experience (interacting with Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps)
