About the role
- Drive growth through acquisition of new business
- Retain clients and maintain strategic partnerships
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, cold calling and networking
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Achieve annual revenue targets through consultative sales to new clients and renewals of existing accounts
- Create and manage a robust pipeline of qualified prospects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Conduct in-depth market analyses to identify trends and competitive advantages
- Present and negotiate complex commercial proposals with prospective clients
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity to recommend product improvements or new offerings
- Attend industry events and workshops to enhance professional skills and expand network
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in financial, banking, or insurance solutions
- Demonstrated experience in client acquisition and retention
- Strong cold calling and new business development skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and sales management tools
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong professional network within the assigned territory
- Knowledge of market research techniques and competitive analysis
- P&C license or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (if applicable)
- Willingness to travel to client meetings and industry events
