About the role
- Manage all phases of the distribution operation
- Act as liaison between Distribution and Sales
- Ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective deliveries
- Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service
- Oversee distribution operations including routing, delivery execution, and logistics planning
- Lead, coach, and develop Distribution Supervisors and distribution associates
- Establish distribution goals and monitor delivery KPIs and performance metrics
- Partner with Dispatch to maintain and continuously improve route plans
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EEOC, company policies, and safety standards
- Manage labor and operating expense budgets; review P&L and implement corrective actions
- Oversee reporting, audits, and documentation for compliance and performance
- Collaborate with Sales, Warehouse, and Fleet teams to ensure efficient, accurate deliveries
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives leveraging technology, training, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of prior experience in operations, distribution, or supply chain leadership required
- Experience managing supervisory-level employees preferred
- Beverage industry or related industry experience strongly preferred
- DOT knowledge required; CDL preferred
- Ability to lift 35–65 pounds and work in a fast-paced distribution environment
