About the role

  • Provide agronomic support, service, and knowledge to local co-op customers.
  • Perform field scouting, agronomic troubleshooting, crop planning, fertility and crop protection recommendations.
  • Act as the customer's trusted advisor for Riverbend Co-op products and services including Crop Protection, Agronomy and Fertilizer.
  • Deliver on-farm services and apply digital agriculture technologies.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and expand sales to new customers.
  • Collaborate on inventory management, product blending, and safe delivery of fertilizer, seed, and chemicals.
  • Organize grower engagement activities (plot tours, Lunch & Learns, field days) and ensure accurate paperwork.
  • Achieve sales, margin, and inventory targets and uphold safety, regulatory, and operational procedures.
  • Hybrid role requiring residence within a 125 km radius of Tullis, Saskatchewan.

Requirements

  • Have agriculture sales and agronomy experience, with strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Provide agronomic advice and support on seed, fertility, pest management, crop protection, and nutrient planning.
  • Deliver on-farm services including scouting, troubleshooting, crop planning, and application of digital agriculture technologies.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through in-person visits, phone, and digital/CRM tools.
  • Collaborate with the Sales & Operations Manager on inventory management, product blending, and safe delivery of fertilizer, seed, and chemicals.
  • Achieve sales, margin, and inventory targets, while expanding sales to new customers.
  • Organize and participate in grower engagement activities (plot tours, Lunch & Learns, field days).
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork including invoices, claims, and crop forecasts.
  • Uphold compliance with safety, regulatory, and operational procedures.
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license and be open to day travel in the assigned territory.
  • Ag Degree or Diploma preferred; willing to obtain CCA designation or equivalent; relevant combination of education and agricultural experience may be considered.
