About the role
- Develop and launch the wealth protection strategies department, including service offerings, client onboarding processes and internal workflows.
- Facilitate consultation and needs assessment with individuals and families, including strategies for insurance policies, financial resources, and specific needs related to health, life, property, and other assets.
- Work closely with wealth managers to create integrated wealth protection strategies plans that align with clients’ overall financial strategies.
- Ensure that all wealth protection strategies services comply with legal, tax and financial regulations, and keep up to date with evolving legislation.
- Cultivate strong client relationships through regular communication, reviews of wealth protection strategies plans and proactive updates.
- Provide ongoing training and support to wealth managers and staff on wealth protection concepts and strategies, enabling them to identify opportunities for client engagement.
- Drive revenue generation by promoting wealth protection services to existing and prospective clients, and identifying cross-selling opportunities within the wealth management practice.
- Report to senior leadership on key performance indicators, adoption rates and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Insurance Licensing or other relevant professional certification in insurance, risk or financial services.
- At least 5 years of Long-term-care (LTC) insurance advisory experience
- Deep knowledge of Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, LTC Insurance and other similar products and services
- 2 years in a leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset
- Successful track record of building solutions
- Proficiency in insurance solutions software and financial management tools including CRMs (Salesforce)
- Strong understanding of the wealth management industry and regulatory environment
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field (preferred)
