About the role

  • Retirement Plan Design Consulting: Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit plan design consulting, proposal and feasibility study generation, assist with preparation for point-of-sale client meetings.
  • Proactive Sales Campaigns: Document activity around outbound calls, scheduled meetings, virtual study groups, group webinars, etc. to promote retirement plan business growth and awareness of resources.
  • Fiduciary Programs: Manage the promotion of the 3(16) Fiduciary Plan Administrative services. Promote use in advisor discussions and consult with advisors on benefits for plan sponsors.
  • Advisor Training and Education: Actively participate in industry conferences and seminars to remain current with retirement plan industry trends and provide insights to advisors.
  • Productively work together and collaborate with internal partners such as Cetera’s Retirement Plan Solution Consultant and Regional Growth Teams.
  • Assist advisors with issue resolution
  • Travel to conferences and advisor locations for site visits (up to 20%)

Requirements

  • Experience: 3-5 years with a focus in the retirement plan industry (401k, etc.)
  • Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree (Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or Communications preferred)
  • Designations or qualifications preferred QKS, QKA or equivalent designation or willingness to attain within 18 months
  • Understanding of retirement plan design, retirement products, and investments
  • Software/System Skills: Microsoft Office (required), Salesforce.com (preferred)
  • Ideal candidate would have experience in an advisor facing role within a TPA, broker-dealer, Recordkeeper, Etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Positive, customer focused attitude and demeanor with a desire to provide outstanding service.
  • Work well in groups and have good problem-solving skills
