About the role
- Provide high-quality service to meet customers' changing needs
- Establish and maintain a constructive relationship with clients
- Follow up on orders with various suppliers and relay information to the client
- Verify documentation and ensure it complies with requirements
- Issue necessary documentation in accordance with instructions and regulations
- Maintain certain reports (internal or external)
- Track shipments to their destination and inform the client of any developments
- Invoice according to the rates provided to the client
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor
- Respond to various quotation requests (from clients and/or overseas partners)
- Provide innovative solutions to client(s)
- Respond to Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and other submission requests
- Work as part of a team and support colleagues during vacations and absences
Requirements
- DEC (Diploma of College Studies - Québec) or equivalent level of education
- 5 to 7 years in the transportation industry, including at least one year in freight forwarding
- Comfortable coordinating FCL, LCL, Breakbulk, RORO, airfreight and overland transport, including oversized, dangerous, and heavy cargo
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to think creatively
- Proactive mindset and risk management capabilities
- Focus on safety and regulatory compliance
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English and French
