About the role
- Technical lynchpin through the sales cycle (pre- and post-sales) supporting prospects and customers
- Educate, empower, and ensure customer success on the Cloudflare platform
- Train and onboard customers via video-conference or in person, and through documentation
- Act as subject matter expert on web/mobile security and performance; develop firewall rules, caching strategies, and scripts/tools for customers
- Collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to create scalable solutions
- Drive technical discussions, demos, proofs-of-concept, and advise existing customers on best practices
- Role requires 20-50% travel to meet prospects/customers, attend conferences, and collaborate with teammates
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, Go)
- Expertise in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL / TLS
- 15 years plus of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role
- Technical curiosity and passion to stay up to date with Cloudflare products and industry trends
- A focus on learning, teaching, collaboration, mentorship, and growth
- Project management, relationship building, and high emotional intelligence
