About the role

  • Remote position for Florida applicants only.
  • Support and lead the Regional Transfer Center facilitating transfers to and from Cleveland Clinic facilities.
  • Oversee bed management and transfer for the Florida market.
  • Work Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with 24/7 availability.
  • Manage department personnel and operations in patient flow and throughput.
  • Ensure appropriateness of scripts, assessment criteria, and follow-up procedures.
  • Oversee the accurate processing of inbound and outbound calls.
  • Ensure appropriate referrals, entry of caller demographics, and generation of outgoing correspondence.
  • Facilitate patient/customer interrelations within the Health System at all levels.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting patient flow across the health system.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with medical, nursing and support departments.
  • Manage staffing, monitor quality and financial performance, and supervise budgets.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with regulatory bodies (The Joint Commission, CMS, Ohio Department of Health).
  • Analyze programs and processes to recommend strategies to improve metrics and cost savings.
  • Complete performance management processes and implement programs to enhance patient experience.
  • Participate in managers' meetings and relevant committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health administration, business administration or a related field
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Two years clinical experience (i.e. RN, Paramedic or other allied health field)
  • Two years supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of hospital ADT and bed management software programs (preferred)
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate by phone and in person.
  • Requires daily travel to multiple sites and physician offices.
