About the role
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with utilities, governments, and other strategic partners.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that align with client needs, regulatory requirements, and market opportunities.
- Support the development of proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs and RFQs.
- Lead or support client meetings, discovery sessions, and relationship-building activities.
- Track and manage business development activities, opportunities, and pipeline using CRM tools.
- Monitor market trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive activity to inform growth strategies.
- Contribute to revenue growth, pipeline development, and long-term account strategy.
- Represent CLEAResult at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities as required.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Experience in business development, account management, sales, or client relationship roles.
- Experience within energy efficiency, utilities, sustainability, professional services, or public-sector environments is a strong asset.
- Strong relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting solutions to senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing opportunity pipelines and contributing to growth targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems is an asset.
- A collaborative, consultative approach with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- A strong desire to contribute to meaningful work that supports climate action and energy efficiency.
- Willingness to travel as required to support relationship development and growth initiatives.
