About the role

  • Remote position; ideal candidates located in California with significant experience in California energy efficiency
  • Responsible for proactively generating leads through contacts with existing and potential customers in California
  • Develop BD strategy to deliver revenue objectives for CLEAResult's West Region, specifically California
  • Secure all revenue-generating contracts; lead client negotiations and internal contract negotiation process for new programs, extensions, rebids, and expansions
  • Extensive knowledge of the energy efficiency industry and legislative/regulatory environment
  • Accountable for achieving annual regional growth objectives by working with BD Directors and Managers to secure new business opportunities
  • Identify regional market trends and plan with service line leaders for product enhancement and development
  • Develops and drives execution of regional growth plans and enterprise-client strategies
  • Prioritize BD efforts to achieve revenue and bookings goals and align with CLEAResult strategic objectives
  • Lead BD Directors' teams through BD process and collaborate with delivery and sales support organizations
  • Lead development and delivery of competitive client proposals with Solutions, Operations and Sales Operations teams
  • Identify and communicate required win strategies, assess proposals, and maintain executive-level client relationships
  • Participate in ongoing client relationships and strategic account plans; work with CPG teams for future strategies
  • Cultivate culture of innovation and sales process excellence; apply sales best practices
  • Lead strategy for building high-quality pipeline and monthly forecasting of bookings
  • Assist in recruitment, hiring, training, and performance tracking of Regional Sales Executives
  • Attend/assist in securing executive level sales meetings and communicate best practices and development opportunities

Requirements

  • Must have significant experience within the energy efficiency industry in California
  • 14+ years with BA; 12+ years with MBA
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the following:

  • Bring national insights to clients
  • Contribute to the national strategy
  • Develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards
  • Design new applications based on professional principles and theories
  • Position yourself as an expert in the field and within the corporation
