About the role
- Work with a platform team to provide a great user experience through essential and reliable systems
- Interface with customers and users to gather requirements for functional system and network solutions
- Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT and network systems
- Manage and support mission critical systems including VMware, Cisco Route/Switch, Firewall Management and Saltstack
- Provide problem identification, diagnosis and resolution for connected client, server, storage, and network
- Monitor and communicate operational status of IT systems to customer management
- Optimize system performance, operation, and resource utilization
- Configure and manage systems; conduct/facilitate installs/loads of system software
- Maintain a distributed set of nodes and apply rolling updates to avoid impacting mission load
- Maintain the integrity of network components and implement enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to internal customers
Requirements
- Work as a member of an integrated technical team
- Self-motivated with a desire to build new skills
- Familiar with Agile frameworks and methodologies
- Forward thinker; enjoy learning new technologies and interested in growing your career
- Skilled with networking including Cisco, Dell, and Juniper products
- Strong VMware skills are most desirable
- Experience with Hardware/Desktop support including Thin Client networking & administration
- Active or current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance
- Experience with Cisco, Dell, and Juniper products
- Masters/Bachelors + 8 Years OR Associates + 10 Years OR High School/GED + 12 Years OR No Degree + 15 Years
- System Administration experience (nice to have)
- Infrastructure Engineering experience (nice to have)
