About the role

  • Design and build web experiences in Webflow. You’ll own projects end-to-end, from early concept and layout exploration through development and launch. This includes level up our product pages, launches, and experimental brand moments that use thoughtful clear design that resonates and spark interest and pushing the boundaries.
  • Ship quickly with high taste. You’ll work with a fast launch cadence, moving from brief to build without heavy handoffs. You are opinionated and make strong design decisions under speed, keeping stakeholders and team in loop, and refine based on real feedback and brand alignment.
  • Design and build Clay’s cutting-edge web experiences with intention and craft. You’ll design and build experiences where the brand is felt, not explained. Every interaction, launch, and detail reflects Clay’s values and ethos, creating moments people experience together. This isn’t about adding more, but about adding meaning. You’ll focus on the moments that matter most and aren’t afraid to take creative risks to build a web experience that resonates.
  • Collaborate to bring ideas to life. You’ll partner closely with Marketing, Product, Growth, and events to translate goals into web experiences. You’re comfortable leading projects or supporting new ideas through launch.
  • Push Clay’s web presence forward. You’ll explore new ways to make the brand feel distinctly human, confident, intentionally creative and ever curious, while maintaining clarity, usability, and conversion.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in visual design for the web.
  • Experience building web experiences in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Webflow CMS, with familiarity with Three.js, GSAP, Next.js, and React development.
  • A love of going from idea to production without relying on handoffs.
  • Strong design judgment and taste, especially when moving fast.
  • A systems mindset — with a willingness to break the rules when the moment calls for it.
  • A focus on interaction, motion, and storytelling more than static comps.
  • Excitement around experimentation and learning through shipping.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of the formal elements of graphic design, including typography, color, layout, and composition.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, keeping stakeholders informed and cross-functional teams aware of your work and progress.
  • The ability to accept feedback and refine your work with limited supervision, while maintaining an opinionated style and drive for web experiences.
  • A can-do, get-it-done attitude.
Benefits
