About the role
- Serve as the university’s primary contact for accommodation requests from students, faculty, and staff.
- Review, evaluate, and respond to accommodation requests in alignment with ADA and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate documentation, implementation, and reporting of approved accommodations while maintaining confidentiality.
- Communicate accessibility policies and processes clearly to members of the university community.
- Work collaboratively with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and University Counsel to support equitable solutions.
- Use strong listening and conflict-resolution skills to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Coordinate documentation and reporting required for institutional and programmatic accreditation.
- Support academic leaders with research, organization, and submission of accreditation materials.
- Manage reporting requirements for state Boards of Nursing where Joyce University offers programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as: Vocational rehabilitation, Special education, Social work, Higher education administration, Human resources or related discipline
- 3–5 years of experience working in disability or accommodation services
- Experience applying ADA and Section 504 regulations in an education, social services, or community setting
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
