About the role
- Provides technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to team of GIS Analysts
- Identifies and executes on process improvement opportunities in coordination with key stakeholders
- Creates a positive work culture that aids in team member engagement, motivation, and retention
- QA/QC of team’s work products
- Works with leadership to establish priorities and goals for the team
- Works with leadership to develop standard operating procedure and training/onboarding documentation
- Works with leadership to establish career development and evaluation plan
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in GIS adjacent field (GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, etc.)
- 5+ years of GIS experience, including 2+ years in a supervisor or managerial role
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with project management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to operate and manage in a hybrid setting
- Willing to work in Downtown KC 1-2 days per week
