About the role
- Oversee the City’s winter operations, street cleaning, grass cutting, and maintenance activities
- Provide strategic oversight of road operations and maintenance
- Champion safe work practices and operational standards
- Develop and execute long-term strategies and modernization initiatives
- Lead financial and risk management practices
- Build strong partnerships across City divisions and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive progressive experience leading large complex infrastructure operations in the public sector
- Experience in the transportation industry is an asset
- Extensive experience in contract development and management in the public sector
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional political acuity and ability to navigate complex political environments
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
