About the role
- Assist with various office functions, such as filing, data entry, photocopying, sending faxes
- Receives/logs data/information received
- Assist with setting up meetings, records, and circulates data
- Support the team by answering calls, providing general information, taking messages and directing inquiries
- Collect data by distributing questionnaires and asking participants/groups for information/opinions
- Assist in inputting, retrieving, compiling, consolidating and maintaining data, statistics, and document findings
- Assist in drafting documents, correspondences, organization and presentation of data collected
Requirements
- Experience in performing administration or clerical support duties or equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum typing speed of 35 wpm
- Working knowledge of MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Experience providing customer service and responding to inquiries via telephone, email, and in person
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to clients and members of the public
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and discretion in dealing with confidential matters
