About the role
- Leading the Hamilton Film Office including operations and film permitting
- Championing film production/location related projects
- Overseeing creative industry sector development strategies and business plans
- Supporting cultural development and placemaking initiatives
- Managing staffing requirements and mentoring staff
- Administering capital and operations budgets
- Conducting market research and analysis to support divisional goals
Requirements
- University degree in Cultural or Recreation and Leisure Studies, Social Sciences, Business or Public Administration or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ progressively responsible management experience in municipal, public or private sector positions
- Experience in managing large scale arts, culture, heritage and tourism projects
- Knowledge, training and/or certification in project management, strategic planning, marketing, citizen engagement, and community development practices
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Thorough knowledge and demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet and database applications
