Translate high-level business objectives into detailed functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models incorporating an API driven solution
Conduct comprehensive gap analysis between current and future state processes and document use cases, user stories, and data flow diagrams incl API based flow
Prioritize requirements based on business value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment
Support the identification of required API capabilities, data elements (payloads), and interaction patterns
Collaborate with technical teams (developers, architects, QA) to design and propose effective technology solutions that meet business needs with API Integrated
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle
Participate in solution & API design reviews and provide input on technical specifications
Support the development team during the build phase by clarifying requirements and addressing questions
Help create and maintain API specifications using relevant tools and standards (e.g., Open API/Swagger)
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts
Coordinate UAT sessions with business users and manage defect tracking and resolution
Create and maintain documentation, including BRDs, functional specifications, process maps, and user manuals
Identify and recommend opportunities for process optimization and improvement in API definition and delivery
Requirements
6 years of experience as a Business Analyst into Software development or IT projects
Experience or strong foundational knowledge within the financial services or banking industry is a plus
Some exposure to API concepts (e.g., understanding of what an API is, how it's used) is required
Experience with both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodologies
Solid understanding of business analysis principles and methodologies
Ability to clearly and concisely document functional and non-functional requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Conceptual understanding of web APIs (e.g., REST, JSON)
Organization skills and ability to handle multiple demands
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Negotiation and Analytical skill to navigate unstructured problems and define solutions
Backlog management of data integrity and accuracy issues, process and roles in Agile development
