Lead the Scribe engineering team and own end-to-end velocity, metrics, and quality for clinical note generation and decision support
Align engineering team priorities by mapping dependencies, timelines, and deliverables
Facilitate and run daily/weekly Scribe standups to ensure progress, remove blockers, and sync cross-functional updates
Oversee and manage the Scribe team’s Linear board, prioritizing and assigning tasks each week
Operationalize continuous note quality evaluation and integrate evaluation pipeline into weekly CI/CD
Define observability and metrics, build dashboards, error/alerting pipelines, tracing/logging, and drive AI model selection
Launch monitoring alerts for transcription failures and ensure rapid incident response
Reduce average post-visit note editing time to under 2 minutes and increase Decision Support workflow speed by 50%
Modernize legacy EHR integrations by refactoring/wrapping outdated systems, adding FHIR/API interfaces, and ensuring interoperability
Requirements
5+ years engineering leadership or senior engineering experience
Strong Observability & Metrics Instrumentation Experience: built dashboards, error/alerting pipelines, tracing/logging systems; comfortable selecting and integrating model selection and monitoring tools
System Ownership in Integration & Reliability: experience owning end-to-end reliability for critical systems (e.g., audio transcription, note output, EHR integrations)
Experience reducing latency and improving throughput
Nice-to-Have: Experience with healthcare standards (FHIR / HL7) and EHR system quirks
Nice-to-Have: Prior exposure to real-time or near-real-time streaming or chunked audio processing / diarization and converting unstructured speech inputs into structured outputs
Nice-to-Have: Experience leading teams that integrate with front-end and extension platforms (web, mobile, browser extension)
Culture fit: Persistent, driven problem solver; willing to push back on leadership to defend quality/timelines; thrives in high-ambiguity, fast-paced startup environments; Zero to One builder, self-managed and self-directed
