About the role
- Provide legal counsel regarding the servicing process of the Mortgage Business and post-charge off collections for USPB Operations-Recovery
- Lead and manage a diverse legal team; oversee risk management and regulatory compliance
- Advise business leadership on legal risks, contracts, regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and other control functions; participate in governance forums
- Negotiate and resolve complex legal issues; ensure firm-wide ethical standards
Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant industry experience; in-house legal experience in financial services preferred
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational and relationship management skills
- Experience with regulators/regulatory bodies is preferred
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Bar license in good standing to practice law
- Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree
