About the role
- Define and drive the payments product strategy to embed operational resilience across UK and EMEA payments services
- Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to senior leadership on payments operational resilience
- Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable product roadmaps and operational processes
- Ensure compliance of payments products with UK and EMEA operational resilience regulations and lead regulatory engagement
- Lead Payments Operational Resilience initiatives for the EMEA cluster and provide oversight across jurisdictions
- Identify important business services, map interdependencies, and set impact tolerances for payments
- Develop and implement frameworks for incident response, recovery, and business continuity specific to payments
- Drive scenario testing and stress testing to validate resilience and remediate vulnerabilities
- Partner with product, technology, and operations teams to embed resilience into product lifecycle
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Audit to identify, assess, and mitigate resilience risks
- Support governance roles in resilience and risk committees and represent the bank at industry forums
- Drive internal communications, forums, and stakeholder engagement to increase Operational Resilience awareness
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in payments operational resilience or related field
- Strong management skills and leadership abilities
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Administrative experience and strong focus on execution
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, and/or analytics
- Subject matter expertise in payments operational resilience and regulatory frameworks (e.g., BoE SS1/21, PRA SS2/21, FCA PS21/3, DORA)
- Experience engaging with regulators, audits, and regulatory inquiries
