About the role

  • Design, develop, test, and implement complex ETL processes using Ab Initio GDE, Co>Operating System, EME, and other related tools
  • Work extensively with various database technologies, including structured relational databases and non-structured databases
  • Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and define source-to-target mappings
  • Optimize Ab Initio graphs and SQL queries for maximum performance and efficiency
  • Provide expert-level support for production ETL processes, troubleshoot data-related issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and mentor junior developers
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications and operational runbooks
  • Implement data quality checks and contribute to data governance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of extensive experience in ETL development, with a significant focus on Ab Initio
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio GDE, Co>Operating System, EME, and related components
  • Strong experience with SQL and proficiency in relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
  • Demonstrated experience working with unstructured data sources and technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL databases)
  • Proficient in shell scripting (Unix/Linux) for automation and job orchestration
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles.
