About the role
- Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area and contributes to data analytics standards
- Develops data controls including data profiling, data analysis, logic tuning, and advanced SQL coding
- Manages end-to-end data quality control development lifecycle and scopes data control code releases
- Create and implement data quality controls by performing audits and validations across various data sources
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns and anomalies in large complex data sets
- Prioritizes, coordinates design and delivery of products/features to product release and serves as product ambassador
- Works closely with Technology, Business Managers and stakeholders to fulfill delivery objectives
- Identifies solutions across data analytics, reporting, CRM, Trade Workflows and trade processing
- Partners with senior team members and a global user community to define and implement solutions
- Creates project plans, business and technical requirements documents for product execution
- Interacts with business managers, technology, and sales to align product & solutions strategy
- Focuses on controls and governance, performing Need-to-Know security/access reviews, Access Approvals, controls testing and documentation
- Assesses risk and drives compliance with laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy and escalating control issues
Requirements
- 6-10 years' experience
- Advanced SQL coding proficiency
- Deep Business Analysis skill set including Descriptive, Diagnostic, Exploratory, Inferential, and Causal Analysis
- Efficient coding methodologies (CTEs, window analytic functions)
- Strong proficiency in data profiling and entity relationship discovery within an Enterprise Data Warehouse
- High competency in SQL to interrogate data systems
- A good general understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Intermediate/advanced Python experience preferred
- Experience with data management lifecycles and workflows
- Banking/Lending experience preferred but not required
- Intellectual curiosity, analytical and conceptual thinking
- Attention to detail and process/analytic mindset
- Ability to build internal and external networks and relationships
- Familiarity with product development methodologies
- Direct experience in end-to-end project delivery and product development
- Knowledge of analytical tools including QlikView, Tableau, Access
- Ability to perform accurate data investigations under tight timescales
- Ability to create business analysis, troubleshoot data quality issues, and conduct exploratory and descriptive analysis
- Process Management knowledge
- Project Management skills with experience leading large cross functional initiatives
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience (potentially Master’s degree)
