About the role
- Develops strategic marketing plans, considering agency strengths, competitors, and market conditions
- Identifies and secures profitable new business opportunities in target markets and develops and implements strategic plans, resulting in a specified increase in market share
- Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with key agencies by providing tailored insurance solutions that meet their specific needs, leading to an increase in agency retention and satisfaction
- Educates agencies on product features, market placement, and effective selling techniques
- Drives revenue growth by achieving or exceeding sales targets
- May develop and execute cross-selling and up-selling strategies
- Conducts market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, informing strategic decision-making
- Prospect for New Agency appointments within assigned territory
- Find, onboard, and develop new agency relationships
- Attend truck conferences throughout the year with occasional (rare) weekend travel
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- generally, 3 years of professional experience is required
- Previous insurance, trucking or commercial auto experience is strongly preferred
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills
- Must be a strong team player and able to collaborate with people across multiple levels
- Ability to travel weekly within the territory
