About the role

  • Develops strategic marketing plans, considering agency strengths, competitors, and market conditions
  • Identifies and secures profitable new business opportunities in target markets and develops and implements strategic plans, resulting in a specified increase in market share
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with key agencies by providing tailored insurance solutions that meet their specific needs, leading to an increase in agency retention and satisfaction
  • Educates agencies on product features, market placement, and effective selling techniques
  • Drives revenue growth by achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • May develop and execute cross-selling and up-selling strategies
  • Conducts market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, informing strategic decision-making
  • Prospect for New Agency appointments within assigned territory
  • Find, onboard, and develop new agency relationships
  • Attend truck conferences throughout the year with occasional (rare) weekend travel
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • generally, 3 years of professional experience is required
  • Previous insurance, trucking or commercial auto experience is strongly preferred
  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills
  • Must be a strong team player and able to collaborate with people across multiple levels
  • Ability to travel weekly within the territory
