About the role

  • serve as the primary link between the EHS organization and regional partners
  • translating EHS requirements into scalable programs and consistent execution across the Americas
  • lead an experienced Americas EHS team and drive corporate EHS initiatives
  • responsible for EHS-related compliance activities
  • operating the North American regulated waste management program
  • coordinating responses to EHS inquiries from external parties
  • supporting regulatory and ISO 14001 and 45001 engagements
  • use EHS data and systems to draw insights and accelerate data-driven decision-making using AI-augmented tools
  • effective team management and leadership
  • improving EHS theater performance
  • timely and effective closure of compliance gaps
  • measurable progress in reducing the likelihood of serious injury, illness, or non-compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, or a related field
  • 10–15 years of progressive EHS experience supporting multi-site operations in the Americas, including California regulatory exposure
  • +5 years of people management experience, including leading experienced and developing EHS professionals
  • Experience with EHS regulatory requirements and practices in California, the United States, Canada, Central and South America
  • Experience operating or being responsible for a regulated waste management program (e.g., U.S. hazardous/regulated waste), including vendor/contractor oversight and compliance documentation.
