About the role
- serve as the primary link between the EHS organization and regional partners
- translating EHS requirements into scalable programs and consistent execution across the Americas
- lead an experienced Americas EHS team and drive corporate EHS initiatives
- responsible for EHS-related compliance activities
- operating the North American regulated waste management program
- coordinating responses to EHS inquiries from external parties
- supporting regulatory and ISO 14001 and 45001 engagements
- use EHS data and systems to draw insights and accelerate data-driven decision-making using AI-augmented tools
- effective team management and leadership
- improving EHS theater performance
- timely and effective closure of compliance gaps
- measurable progress in reducing the likelihood of serious injury, illness, or non-compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, or a related field
- 10–15 years of progressive EHS experience supporting multi-site operations in the Americas, including California regulatory exposure
- +5 years of people management experience, including leading experienced and developing EHS professionals
- Experience with EHS regulatory requirements and practices in California, the United States, Canada, Central and South America
- Experience operating or being responsible for a regulated waste management program (e.g., U.S. hazardous/regulated waste), including vendor/contractor oversight and compliance documentation.
