About the role
- Manage complex, high risk and sensitive workplace issues and conflicts
- Assist business and HR partners to identify creative solution-based approaches to enterprise projects
- Ensure corporate governance is applied by ensuring compliance with CIBC policies and regulations
- Support managers and employees in successful resolution of workplace issues and conflicts
- Investigate and respond to employee relations matters escalated to executive leaders
- Investigate, and respond to pre-litigation files with internal counsel as required
Requirements
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP)
- At least five years of experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources, or Legal roles
- Master of Industrial Relations (MIR), Law Degree (LLB/JD), or similar qualifications (considered an asset)
- Experience in performance management, discipline and dismissal, human rights, complex attendance management and disability management issues
- Fluent in French and English to support business operations outside of Quebec, Canada.
