About the role

  • Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, requiring sampling and opening hatches
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks
  • Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Regularly inspect in-use equipment
  • Monitor and maintain quality of inventory
  • Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, and feed to customer sites
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
  • Keep work areas and vehicles clean and orderly
  • Conduct regular housekeeping duties
  • Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal
  • Perform warehouse work including driving loader and loading/unloading inventory
  • Report customer complaints or maintenance needs promptly
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands
  • Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
  • Agriculture background preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred
