About the role
- Partner and advise attorneys and business partners in all employment, labor, and benefits litigation matters
- Facilitate discovery compliance, including e-discovery, management of litigation hold process
- Review pleadings prepared by outside counsel
- Preparation of position statements and other legal matters under the supervision of the VP Legal
- Oversee and support VP legal in management of Compliance program
- Manage and coordinate with VP legal in oversight/management of Immigration matters
- Draft, review negotiate and revise various vendor and commercial agreements
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to internal stakeholders on legal issues
- Define and drive strategic and operational initiatives and identify areas for operational improvement
- End-to-end responsibility for management of legal software and tech solutions
- Identifying KPIs, benchmarks and metrics to report on the Legal Department’s performance
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other members of the Legal Team
- Manage weekly legal review meetings with cross-functional business partners
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Legal Team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a litigation paralegal
- Paralegal certification preferred
- Proficiency in Office365 and other systems to capture redline edits and legal feedback
- Strong working knowledge in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with legal operations platforms to improve department efficiencies and management
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
- Familiarity with CPG food manufacturing and distribution, food industry regulations and compliance matters is a plus
