About the role

  • Partner and advise attorneys and business partners in all employment, labor, and benefits litigation matters
  • Facilitate discovery compliance, including e-discovery, management of litigation hold process
  • Review pleadings prepared by outside counsel
  • Preparation of position statements and other legal matters under the supervision of the VP Legal
  • Oversee and support VP legal in management of Compliance program
  • Manage and coordinate with VP legal in oversight/management of Immigration matters
  • Draft, review negotiate and revise various vendor and commercial agreements
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to internal stakeholders on legal issues
  • Define and drive strategic and operational initiatives and identify areas for operational improvement
  • End-to-end responsibility for management of legal software and tech solutions
  • Identifying KPIs, benchmarks and metrics to report on the Legal Department’s performance
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other members of the Legal Team
  • Manage weekly legal review meetings with cross-functional business partners
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Legal Team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a litigation paralegal
  • Paralegal certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Office365 and other systems to capture redline edits and legal feedback
  • Strong working knowledge in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with legal operations platforms to improve department efficiencies and management
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Familiarity with CPG food manufacturing and distribution, food industry regulations and compliance matters is a plus
