About the role

  • Lead investment accounting and related reporting
  • Build process documentation and internal controls
  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Leverage Workday, Salesforce, and other systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of month-end close and reporting processes
  • Review grant contracts to determine the proper accounting
  • Document investment accounting using relevant accounting guidance
  • Assist with the annual audits
  • Adapt accounting requirements as the investment teams diversify its portfolio
  • Lead valuation engagements of direct investments as necessary
  • Organize and review direct investment documentation and accounting

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • CPA license (active or inactive)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to ask thoughtful, probing questions
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • A collaborative approach and experience partnering cross-functionally
  • Experience with investment valuations and methodologies (preferred, not required)
  • Familiarity with Workday (a plus)
