About the role
- Lead investment accounting and related reporting
- Build process documentation and internal controls
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Leverage Workday, Salesforce, and other systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of month-end close and reporting processes
- Review grant contracts to determine the proper accounting
- Document investment accounting using relevant accounting guidance
- Assist with the annual audits
- Adapt accounting requirements as the investment teams diversify its portfolio
- Lead valuation engagements of direct investments as necessary
- Organize and review direct investment documentation and accounting
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant accounting experience
- CPA license (active or inactive)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to ask thoughtful, probing questions
- Experience operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
- A collaborative approach and experience partnering cross-functionally
- Experience with investment valuations and methodologies (preferred, not required)
- Familiarity with Workday (a plus)
