About the role
- Lead all aspects of general ledger accounting operations and oversee monthly/quarterly close processes with flux analyses and reconciliations
- Manage financial reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal reporting
- Enhance monthly/quarterly close process, automating where possible to ensure timely, accurate close cycles
- Provide expertise in technical accounting, including guidance on new accounting standards and complex transactions
- Oversee accounting for prepaids, accruals, capitalized software, and equity
- Manage tax compliance and reporting in partnership with external providers
- Establish, document, and enforce robust internal controls and accounting policies
- Partner closely with FP&A, Legal, IT, and business leaders to ensure accurate and timely financial insights
- Support external audits, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of audit materials
- Oversee ERP and accounting systems, driving system improvements, automation, and integration with other SaaS tools
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, building scalable processes and supporting professional growth
Requirements
- CPA required; Big 4 experience strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role; experience at a high-growth tech company strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, technical accounting, and SEC reporting
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Analytical and detail oriented with a track record of streamlining processes and close cycles
- Proficiency with ERP and reporting systems; experience implementing or optimizing Quickbooks and systems like Netsuite
- Preferred: Experience in public or high-growth technology companies, navigating rapid scale, SaaS financial models, and evolving accounting standards.
